James Nadeau

Technical Instructor

James Andrew Nadeau is the Director of the Queer Film Institute, a non-profit that produces Wicked Queer, Boston’s LGBTQ+ film festival, WQ Docs: LGBTQ+ Documentary Festival, Queer Film LA newsletter, The World Pride Film Festival, and is a founder and participant in the Queers Do Cinema podcast (produced by QFI). He has been involved in the film industry since 2000.

He has curated and overseen programming at the Documentary Fortnight Festival at MoMA, the Provincetown International Film Festival, and at galleries, theatres, and museums throughout New England.

His films have screened internationally, most recently at the Sguardi Sonori Festival of Media and Time Based Art in Italy. He is currently a Technical Instructor in the Literature Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a graduate of SMFA/Tufts University and MIT with a focus on media studies and contemporary media art.
